FIT-OUT . RIVER WAY

I love working with Bacic Group. Elvira and Drago have such great style and are always happy to put their trust in me. And I loved working on this home… interconnecting spaces, great indoor-outdoor flow, a sophisticated backdrop for furniture and accessories. The owner had chosen some pieces from Edituer and Kartique, so I was able to go into her storage area and choose from those pieces, then add in my own selections...

  1. The beautiful entrance… when I saw this sideboard at Editeur, it had to be included, as did the pieces on it… beautiful oversized pink vase, RY Augousti round vases and more. Elvira and the owner brought in the beautiful Christopher Boots pendant and Peter Milligan ceramic side table underneath, both from Editeur. And I wanted to have Berber rugs (thank you Temple Fine Rugs) through the entire home to soften it up and bring that sophisticated casual-luxe aesthetic.

  2. The transition zone from entrance to main living/dining areas… This antique Indian piece from Kartique is just divine - the owner had chosen this and the black chair from Editeur. I placed them together and brought in the white ceramics, flowers and plants from Little Leaf Co.

  3. Designer Elvira of Bacic stepping out in her interior… I brought in rug from Temple Fine Rugs; table and chairs, Ultimo Interiors; lamp, Editeur. The owner had chosen the daybed from Editeur.

  4. Outdoor… I brought in pieces from Ultimo Interiors and a super tall, incredibly gorgeous, Naga sculpture from Kartique. One of my favourite looks to work with is mixing antique/tribal with contemporary…

  5. Main Living… the owner had bought the beautiful Minotti sofa from De De Ce when it was still open in Perth (now Editeur has the agency) and the mid-century lamp (in next image). I brought in the coffee table, lounge chair, Ian De Souza artwork and all other accessories which are a mix of antique pieces from Kartique, ceramic pieces and cushions from Editeur and books from Boffins Books. While I love restrained interiors in the right interior (which can hold that type of look), I do love a bit of layering…

  7. The kitchen… a damn sexy space… bronze mirrors, cement, dark joinery… again I mixed antique timbers and sculptures from Kartique and my studio with contemporary Paola C pieces from Ultimo Interiors and ceramics from Editeur. Runner, Temple Fine Rugs.

  9. Drinks zone… The pink goat skin console… I saw this piece in Editeur’s storage area and had to have it - luckily they let it out! Dressed with lamp and glassware from Editeur, Ultimo Interiors, ceramic from Kartique, plant and pot from Little Leaf Co and Burmese chair from Kartique.

  10. Up lose of the console pieces and styling - I actually loved doing this little set up… sometimes it’s the little moments that make you happy!

  11. Study… I found these pieces at Edituer - all gorgeous. I have to say that I absolutely loved creating this little look. Again, rug from Temple Fine Rugs.

  12. Main bedroom… it’s all about the view in this room, so I brought in a barely there rug from Temple Fine Rugs, gentle colours in linen from Pure Linen, side tables and lamps from Editeur and artwork from Linton & Kay.

  13. Outdoor terrace… I brought in furniture from Ultimo and placed with antique oversized pots from Kartique.
